Hi there! I’m Caroline, the founder of Slate Ridge. With over a decade of experience in accounting and consulting across various industries, I started Slate Ridge to empower and support fellow business owners. I’m passionate about using my knowledge to serve others. I believe accounting doesn’t have to be dull or overwhelming—in fact, I believe it can be approachable and exciting. I am originally from Charlotte, NC.
- Dual Major in Accounting & Finance from UNC Charlotte.
- 10 years of experience in accounting, in both consulting and industry.
- Involved in multiple ERP system migrations and implementations.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP, and technical accounting.
- Managed payroll & accounting for $50m annual revenue company.
- Extensive experience in inventory and manufacturing requisition process.

Hello! I’m Joe, co-founder of Slate Ridge. With a decade of experience in FP&A, I specialize in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive strategic decisions. I’ve worked with top public companies like UnitedHealth Group, Taylor Morrison, and Columbus McKinnon, refining financial processes to enhance performance. I’m passionate about making finance clear, accessible, and impactful for businesses. I am originally from Mooresville, NC.
- Major in Finance with concentration in Investments from UNCC.
- 10 years of experience in Corporate Finance and Accounting.
- Expertise in PowerBI implementation for financial analysis and reporting.
- Advanced Skills in Budgeting & KPI Management.
- Knowledge of SOX and SEC regulations pertaining to cost compliance.
